The laptop in the video is an MSi which uses SteelSeries keyboards and they can perform some pretty neat tricks too. Do be prepared to spend some serious money with them though if you buy one of their laptops. All my peripherals hooked to my Predator are Razer products and IMO they are god tier when it comes to lighting with their Chroma controls. I think some of the older and/or more affordable units only have three zones as well with the number pad just being some 6000Kish white.
I think Acer Predators cannot do what you want and to my knowledge they just have zone lighting.
